The Tag Component supports the implementation and display of semantic tag annotations within the Edition VE and the Paleography VE. The Tag Component encompasses the following constituent features:
- Edition Entity Tag
- Edition Tag Mode
- Edition Tag Display
- Paleography Tag Mode
- Structure Tag Mode
Edition Entity Tag Feature
The Edition Entity Tag feature supports the application of semantic tags to individual syllables, words, compounds, lines or other structural sequences. Multiple tags may be selected to be applied to a single entity. Tags are displayed with the Edition Properties feature and with the Edition Tag Display feature.
Edition Tag Mode Feature
The Edition Tag Mode feature supports the application of a semantic tag to multiple syllables, words, compounds, lines or other structural sequences. A tag may be applied to multiple entities. Tags are displayed with the Edition Properties feature and with the Edition Tag Display feature.
Edition Tag Display Feature
The Edition Tag Display feature supports the selective display of tags on multiple syllables, words, compounds, lines or other structural sequences within the Edition VE. Tags are displayed with coloured shading over the related entity.
Paleography Tag Mode Feature
The Palaeographic Tag Mode feature is a specialized implementation of the Edition Tag Mode feature.
Structure Tag Mode Feature
The Structure Tag Mode feature supports the application of a semantic tag to multiple words, compounds or other structural sequences. A tag may be applied to multiple entities. Tags are displayed with the Structure Properties feature.
